Disney Cruise Line

The Rooms

Disney has built their ships with families in mind, unlike other cruise lines.

Disney has made sure to put an emphasis on giving families their space. They have the largest rooms in the industry. This is a vacation, and you don’t want your family to be on top of each other in a small, cramped room. Disney has done an amazing job of using every inch of space that is available. The beds are lifted off the floor at the perfect height so that you can slide your suitcases underneath. Out of sight, out of mind.

Most rooms have split bathrooms, allowing multiple family members to use the bathroom at once. Split bathrooms leave the sink and toilet available if someone is in the shower. And if you have little ones that take baths, don't worry, a lot of the rooms have small bathtubs - unheard of on most cruise ships!!

Another perk Disney cruise line has is that each room has an attendant that will clean your room twice a day. Who doesn’t like coming back from a long day out to a clean room?

The Food

Disney has unique rotational dining and a server team aboard the ship. They also include the cost of soft drinks in their price, unlike other cruise lines. No need to add a beverage package to your cruise fare!

Most other cruise lines upcharge for a better dining experience, while Disney doesn’t. You’ll even have the ability to try a different restaurant every night of your stay, in addition to the always-available buffet.

Also available are the quick service options on the deck as well as room service. Both are also included in your cruise fare! Starting to get the point? Disney really has made this an all-inclusive experience.

Disney’s character dining and unique dining experiences make their cruise line stand apart from other cruise lines. One of these unique dining experiences is called the Animator’s Palate. While you enjoy dinner, you will see the dining room come alive! On the newest ship, Disney Wish you’ll get to dine with Elsa and Ana at Ana’s Engagement Party. On the Disney Magic, dine at the Snuggly Duckling, and on the Wonder, dine with Princess Tiana and friends. These experiences really make your family vacation extra magical!

Activities for Kids

Disney makes sure to put focus on kids and keep them entertained.

You won’t find the huge space dedicated to gaming and casinos that is common on other cruise lines, and Disney has used that space for kids' activities.

Disney has clubs for the adults— and the kids! These kid-only areas allow them to make new friends and participate in multiple age-appropriate activities, visit with spontaneous characters and more.

The kids’ clubs are usually open every day from nine in the morning until midnight. Good luck trying to get your kids out of the club! My daughter never wanted to leave!

Included in the cost of your cruise is the use of The Oceaneer Club and Lounge (ages 3 to 12), The Edge Club (11-14), and The Vibe Club allows teens aged fourteen to seventeen to chill and hang with people their age.

And for the little ones aged six months to three years, Disney has the “It’s a Small World Nursery” starting at only $9 per hour. I don’t know about you, but I don’t know anywhere I can leave my baby knowing they are in excellent hands for that amount.

Entertainment Aboard

Entertainment is one of Disney’s specialties in the park and out on the sea!

You and your family can enjoy a Broadway-quality performance aboard any Disney Cruise ship! These family-friendly performances are put on every night at the Walt Disney Theater onboard. This is a great opportunity to bring the kiddos when they need a break. They'll be able to sit back and relax as they take in the magical performances.

After seeing an amazing show, you and the family can get ready to party! Disney throws themed nighttime dance parties on the ship. Some themes they have are ‘Pirates IN the Caribbean’ and ‘Freezing the Night Away’ in honor of Disney’s Frozen. You can look forward to dancing and interacting with some of your favorite Disney characters.

Enjoy an amazing firework display as your night comes to an end—something that separates Disney’s cruise line from other cruise lines.

Don't worry—Disney didn’t forget about the adults! Disney has adult-only spaces on their ships, such as restaurants, clubs, pubs, decks, and more!

Castaway Cay & Lighthouse Point

Castaway Cay is Disney’s private island that is used exclusively for their Bahamian and Caribbean cruises.  Lighthouse Point also hosts another private experience just for Disney Cruise guests!

These islands are everything you’d imagine they are. Crystal blue water, white sand beaches, and clear skies while you sit back and relax for the day.

Very much on par with Disney and the expectations they set for themselves, the islands are considered the top memories for my clients! They offer not only relaxation on their island but also adventures and activities.

Included Activities:

  • Food & beverages on the island (not including adult beverages)

  • White sandy beaches with lounge chairs, hammocks - everything needed for a beautiful beach day!

  • Water Playground & Waterslide Right Into the Ocean!

  • Scuttle’s Cove Kids Club & Teen Club is hosted by the same counselors as on board.
