When’s the Best Time to Visit Disney World in 2023?

One of the most frequent questions I get as a vacation planner is when should we go? And while there’s so many factors involved in picking a time to go, these are my tried & true favorite times of year to visit.

January & February

The weather is mild and families are back in school after winter break which means lower crowds. Besides the obvious holidays you will need to avoid any special event weekends.

Besides those reasons, you can also attend Epcot’s Festival of the Arts to experience the Arts in a whole new way! Disney on Broadway performances, Chalk Art Installations & Artful Photo Ops, Interactive Art Experiences along with Creative Culinary Arts throughout World Showcase.

Late April & May

Plan a visit before the summer rush! There are a few weeks here and there you want to avoid in these months but otherwise it’s a great time to visit. Epcot’s Flower & Garden Festival is a celebration of gorgeous gardens, unique exhibits and living sculptures of your favorite Disney characters!

Late August & September

When most kids are back to school, the parks can get quiet! If you can visit during this time, it will still be hot enough to swim and I highly recommend picking an on-property resort for a mid-day break.. You can also attend the Autumn festivities, enjoy the decor, foods and Halloween After Hour events! !

December

While December can be busy, it’s just a beautiful time to visit! Disney at Christmas time is a total experience. Enjoy the After Hour events, beautiful decor, special parades and foods. Don’t forget to make a day (or two) for Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays!!
